What a day

After being under staffed (NHS) for over 12 months and after having returned from 3 months sick leave due to depression I have finally had enough and am taking on the management. They are incredibly bad at communicating with holding information as they see fit. Unfortunately I think they believe I can be shut up and use my illness as an excuse but they don't know what they have started. I rarely lose my temper, am incredibly hard on myself and the standards I set myself are extremely high, I will go out of my way to help anyone but push me too far and the scales tip. I will work myself hard but do expect some recognition of that and do not expect to be treated as or felt to be treated as a trouble maker, an idiot or a non-entity. I am at the end of my tether with trying to make a department run with no staff and seeing the staff that are there work themselves into the ground due to managements unrealistic expectations. I have a very strong sense of justice and it's about to come out to play.
