I bought a netbook on Sunday it cost £100 from the carboot and it's a smashing little thing but I had to justify to myself that I was worth half of it ie: £50, but that was too much so I then had to justify to myself that half of it spread out over my birthday, which is unfortunately only in a few days time, and half of it at Christmas wasn't too much to spend on me. I don't think I've quite managed to justify it even now! Think of the other things I could have done with the money, too late now I guess just need to rid myself of the guilt.
What fun I had buying it though! When I saw it I couldn't believe it was there, then I decided that I would have it but of course I don't carry £100 around a carboot sale! So I asked the lovely lady to put it aside, she was dubious that I was definitely going to pay for it but said she would hold it for two hours, no worries says me I won't be long there's a cash point at Morrisons round the corner. Reached into my bag to get my purse, and yes I'd not bought it with me. ARGH. Luckily Nan & Grandad were there and off I trotted round the corner armed with Nan's cashpoint card. They've just done up the Morrisons at Leek, the cash machines were back, but they weren't hooked to the electric!!! So now a trek up a hill to town. Eventually on the way back hot, flustered and wondering how long I'd been, I'd not put my watch on, I'd left my mobile at home and all I could do was plod on back at my thankfully fast pace and it was all downhill on the way back. Nan & Grandad were stood wondering where on earth I was and hopefully not thinking I'd run off with their bank card, although Grandad did say he thought I'd done a runner he really didn't mean it, I hope. So now I have a netbook (well a half share), it will fit in my handbag, it will travel nicely in the caravan with us and I can take it to work for a sneaky game of solitaire when I need five minutes peace.
No excuse not to blog when away in the caravan now!
