Off to Pillaton

Finally after twelve months of waiting it's that time of year again and we're off to Pillaton in around 4 hours!  Most things are packed now just need to get the fresh and frozen stuff into the coolbox and the dog cages into the car, and most importantly my fleecy pj's are now rolling around the dryer so that I can lounge about in comfort!

Last year was the first time we'd been on a camping/caravan meet and we were wondering what on earth we'd signed ourselves up for, I have no idea what we were worried about.  We had a fantastic time!  Left to our own devices for the weekend apart from the Saturday when we all got together to have a massive Jacobs!  Now I wondered what a Jacobs was it's like a pot luck supper, everyone takes something to eat be it sausages or meat for the bbq or chilli, baked spuds, salad, cake you name it and it was there I think all laid out in a double marquee.  It was great to meet like minded family people, the kids played and so did some of the grownups judging by the amount of hangovers on the Sunday morning.  Luckily I went off alcohol a few years ago, the hangovers didn't appeal to me, so I was happy to watch others suffer.  This year the meet has grown and I think we have most of the campsite booked, we've also got our friends to come with us with their caravan so it will be nice to actually know someone properly.  Looking forward to meeting a lot more friends old and new so looking forward to it that we're there for five days this time instead of just the two nights like last year.  Nice to stroll around in the morning when everyone else is sleeping and get pictures of all the different setups too although I'm hoping that I manage to sleep in!!  If I get to 6am that would be a bonus.

Jack Russell Terrorists
Oh and of course these two are coming with us, Jack and Jess the JRTerrorists.  This was taken last year at Pillaton.  They're almost two this year but I don't think that makes them any wiser!  Their main party trick is being able to destroy any toy they can get their chops on in under 2 minutes flat and usually less than that, you name it we've tried it Kongs made for large dogs, Nyla bones even the indestructible ones, all to no avail.  So they're stuck with rope toys - no tennis balls they first pull all the fluff off those before chewing them to death, and bits of knotted material that they love to play 'tuggy' with these have lasted the longest!  Oh there is one toy that has gone unchewed the giggle ball....Jess is scared of it and Jack has a nudge at it every now and again but other than that it lies in their toybox unloved.
